A fashion editorial shoot published in Mob Journal’s Volume 3 #1. The spread includes 8 different outfits with trends for Spring/Summer 2020 and inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s personal style. Throughout the photos, the viewer sees a story that closely aligns with O’Keeffe’s life as a small-town country girl who moves to New York. As she becomes more immersed in the city, she gains confidence, starts to take more risks with her style, and develops her distinct taste.  

Concept

The outfits represent the masculine, black, classic trends seen on the Spring/Summer 2020 fashion week runways. Georgia O’Keeffe was known for her mix of Texan and New York style. To solidify our vision and concept for the shoot I created a few mood boards.

The title is “Natural Notable,” the women in this series is all about fashion but only ever lived in a small town until recently. After she moves to New York she realizes how many risks she can take in such as large city. As the series progresses it starts as very modest and natural and becomes edgier. Here are photos of each individual outfit.
